Women's Track & Field / Cross Country

Under the leadership of Head Coach Luke Elson, Nichols Men's and Women's Cross Country, Track & Field is building a culture fueled by energy, enthusiasm, and a relentless commitment to excellence. Coach Elson has quickly energized the program with a fresh vision that emphasizes hard work, accountability, and a championship mindset. His passion for developing student-athletes extends beyond competition, creating an environment where every runner and thrower is challenged to reach their full potential both on the course, on the track, and in the classroom.

Support from Bison Blitz helps provide enhanced training opportunities, modern equipment, team travel, and resources that elevate the student-athlete experience. Your investment empowers Coach Elson and the Bison to continue building a competitive program while inspiring the next generation of Nichols cross country and track & field athletes.

  • 1st Time Ever - Spring Break Training Trip to Myrtle Beach - Help send the Nichols Men & Women's Track & Field Program on a Spring Break training trip to Myrtle Beach. Athletes will experience outdoor training at elite facilities and beging their outdoor campaign against top Division 3 competition. Competing in the warm weather of the south will improve our athletes chances at top performances and regional/nationals bids. Your support can provide the Bison track program with unforgettable memories and a competitive edge in regional competition.

  • Equipment Upgrades - Help bring pole vault matts and a speed gate timing system to Nichols Campus. The goal is to enhance the overall training experience by providing our Pole Vaulters with on campus training facilities and statistical training data for our sprinters and distance runners to specify and enhance their training programs.

  • Facilities Upgrades - Help build the future of the track & field program at Nichols. The track program is looking to the future and beginning to set aside money to put in the addition of new horizontal jumping pits and an official throwing circle. We have set a 5 year goal for ourselves to put money aside to build training pits and runways for our long and triple jumpers and a 3 year plan for putting in an official throwing circle. The addition of both to our facility will improve the student athlete experience, intensify the level of training we can provide, and entice elite level athletes in our aggressive recruiting efforts.
